Brief Description

Tripeptide derived from the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH). KPV retains the anti-inflammatory signaling of the parent hormone without melanocortin receptor-mediated pigmentation effects. It inhibits NF-κB nuclear translocation and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine release in cellular models. Research areas include inflammatory bowel models, skin inflammation, mucosal barrier function, and immune modulation. For research use only — not for human consumption.
