Brief Description
Naturally occurring heptapeptide originally isolated from the skin of South American tree frogs (Phyllomedusa). Dermorphin is a potent and highly selective μ-opioid receptor agonist — approximately 30-40 times more potent than morphine in binding assays. Research areas include opioid receptor pharmacology, pain signaling pathway investigation, analgesic mechanism studies, and mu-receptor selectivity profiling.
